Climate Adaptation Specialist I

Summary

Supports tribes and communities to prepare for and adapt to climate-related risks by developing and updating emergency and hazard mitigation plans, organizing community drills, and supporting incident response coordination. Conducts field-based hazard mapping and risk assessments using GPS, ArcGIS, drones, and remote sensing, and produces technical reports, maps, and data summaries. May specialize in environmental risk mapping or hazardous fuels, leading fuel treatments, prescribed burn coordination, and training on wildland fire behavior.
