PhD Scholarship in Climate-Driven Changes in Tidal Response of Sea Ice and Icebergs in Coastal Zones

Summary

Develops a high-resolution tidal model using SWOT satellite altimetry and establishes a framework to predict sea-ice and iceberg movements in coastal zones, with emphasis on Greenland’s large tides. Combines oceanographic and cryospheric science, remote sensing and modelling of tidal currents and calving/grounding processes, and collaborates with international research partners and working groups.
