Computational Social Scientist, Applied AI
Conducts large-scale computational social science and AI research on energy and decarbonization, using text, behavioral, survey, political, administrative, and geospatial data to study public opinion, civic participation, and behavior change. Designs and executes rigorous computational and statistical studies, builds validated reproducible models (including evaluation, human validation, error analysis, and bias assessment), and develops scalable methods combining LLMs with classification, clustering, topic modeling, and embeddings. Collaborates across teams to integrate research with program strategy and evaluation, and translates results into visualizations, recommendations, and presentations for technical and nontechnical audiences.
